Welcome to the Ege University Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences family.

Computing power, artificial intelligence, data, and communication technologies are reshaping not only technology but also science, production, education, and social life. Computer and information sciences are fundamental fields at the center of this transformation, designing, guiding, and shaping the future.

Our Faculty is a young and dynamic academic structure, built upon the deeply rooted academic heritage of Ege University, which holds the status of a Research University and full institutional accreditation, and is designed to meet the needs of the information age. As a newly established faculty, we have the freedom to shape our approach to education, research, and social contribution in line with the demands of the information age.

We aim to educate you as competent, responsible, and productive individuals in computer and information sciences – individuals who can understand and guide change, combine analytical thinking with creativity, act with ethical responsibility, engage in dialogue with different disciplines, and prioritize social benefit. To achieve this, we place three principles at the center of our educational approach: a solid theoretical foundation, strong practical experience, and an interdisciplinary perspective.

Across a wide spectrum, from artificial intelligence and data science to cybersecurity, and from software engineering to human-computer interaction, together with our academic staff, research infrastructure, and industry and public stakeholders, we work to educate individuals who will design the technologies of tomorrow.

We see you not only as our students but also as our young colleagues with whom we will build the future of our Faculty. The greatest strength of a newly established faculty is its ability to shape its identity together with its students.
